INTERNATIONAL THEORY OF MUSIC COMPETITION
Twice a year, music students from around the world gather online to compete in the International Theory of Music Competition. They are quizzed on topics like key signatures, intervals, chord progressions, rhythm, scales and other elements that are used in constructing a piece of music.

The Fairview International Theory Competition 2022 is now open for registration.
Competition will be held in August 2022.
How does the International Theory of Music Competition work?
1. Register at www.dominus.my
2. Receive the info pack from the organiser (Fairview/Dominus).
3. Download BeED and try out the app.
4. Competition Day - 30 to 60 minutes (depending on grade) online tests
using the BeED system.
5. Announcement of winners.
* Prizes and certificates will be issued within two month after the announcement of winners. A digital ‘Certificate of Participation’ will be issued to all other contestants.

Rules and Regulations
Winners Selection
i)
Incomplete entries or failure to comply with the Rules & Regulations stated herein will automatically be disqualified from the competition without prior notice.
ii)
AII decisions made by the panel judges are final and the manner and method of the judging are solely within the judge’s discretion.
Winners Announcement
i)
The winners for each Graded Category will be announced & published on the Dominus Arts Venue Website and social media pages.
ii)
The organiser reserves the right to change the date of competition and/or the timing of the announcement of the winners at its sole discretion without prior notification.
General Terms
i)
By participating, contestants agree to abide by these official rules and the decision of the Organiser which is final.
ii)
The Organiser reserves the right at its absolute discretion to review and vary the Prizes Winners selection process contained herein at any time without prior notice, when deemed required for the smooth running of the contest. The organiser’s decision is final with respect to any aspect of the competition, including without limitation, the termination of the winners and no correspondences thereafter will be entertained.
iii)
By participating, all contestants consent to give their personal information. The Organiser reserves the right to publish, use the winners’ names and/or photographs for the purpose of publicity and advertising without further compensation and notice.
iv)
Personal data provided by contestants is in accordance with the Personal Data Protection Act 2010 (“PDPA”). Contestants signify their acceptance to the collection and processing of their personal data and are fully aware of the choices available to decline access or limit the Organiser’s access to their personal data. The Organiser will not be able to provide Contestants with products and services if access is limited or if Contestants decline to provide their personal data.

The Organiser reserves the right to modify, suspend or cancel this competition without prior notice.
vi)
Contestants are highly advised to visit Dominus Arts Venue Facebook page and website from time to time to ensure that the Contestants are aware of any updates and changes made.
